During the week of September 14th, we released TwitterTime for free just in time for the TechCrunch50 conference. We saw downloads surge into the thousands and are also happy to note that TwitterTime was featured in the “New and Noteworthy” section of the iTunes App Store. Thanks everyone for downloading the app! Fun new features and updates planned so keep up-to-date by checking our blog or following us on Twitter and Facebook.
We’re proud to announce our second app, TwitterTime! It’s an app for watching your tweets. It displays tweets in large font, automatically scrolls through tweets, and doesn’t go to sleep for a truly hands-free Twitter experience. You can even track a trending topic or a custom keyword to stay up to date on the topics that matter most to you. Use TwitterTime when you don’t want to mess around with your phone, like while eating lunch or watching TV. Give your iPhone something to do when it’s just sitting on your desk – try TwitterTime!
Here’s a quick demo video for Voodoo Doll – that loveable stress-relieving app made by plucky youngsters that all the cool people are using these days. You are a cool person, aren’t you? Enjoy!
I’m, Vance, the voice of the Voodoo Doll. We recorded the audio in the finest recording studio we could get our hands on… under a blanket. It was a trick I learned from podcasting master, Leo Laporte. Whether he was kidding about it or not, this kind of recording really does create some great acoustics on a shoe-string budget. The nice echo-reduction does have its downsides though – it can get rather stuffy. Perhaps heat-induced hallucinations can lead to better voice acting.
Our very first App, Voodoo Doll, is now available on the iPhone App Store. Check it out and tell us what you think. Special thanks to my sister Karen for giving us the idea in the first place!
